Purpose
To support leading scientists in creating breakthrough health treatments.
The Tiny Foundation partners with the Huberman Lab to fund promising researchers working on cutting-edge science. Projects are selected because they have a high probability of resulting in new, high-quality treatments for mental and/or physical health, and the Foundation matches donations from Huberman Lab members. Together in 2023, we supported five projects and one scientific conference.
- Dr. Alia Crum, Stanford University – Studying mindsets and belief effects to better understand how these can allow both children and adults to learn and perform better in school, work, athletics, and other areas of life
- Dr. Satchin Panda, Salk Institute for Biological Studies – Studying circadian biology and the application of intermittent fasting in order to enhance mental health, physical health, and performance
- Dr. Carla Shatz, Stanford University – Studying the immune system and how maternal infections affect the developing fetal brain
- Dr. Joanna Steinglass, Columbia University – Studying and developing novel treatments for eating disorders
- Dr. Nolan Williams, Stanford University – Studying the effects of psychedelics and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for the treatment of mental health disorders such as major depression
- 2023 Chronobiology Conference – Scientific conference focused on advancing our understanding of how the timing of light, temperature, exercise and eating affect our health
In 2024, we are excited to continue to fund critical research across multiple laboratories and projects.
