Purpose
To build a network of nonprofits to advocate for better policies with a unified voice, and increase connection and support across the sector.
Vantage Point is a British Columbia non-profit that serves other BC nonprofits. Its vision is an inclusive community, where nonprofits can achieve their fullest potential and drive sustainable change throughout the province and beyond. Vantage Point promotes connected communities by nurturing a strong nonprofit sector, and achieves this by delivering high-quality training, resources, and advocacy that builds connection, creativity, and impact in the sector.
With its main office on the unceded traditional lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples, Vantage Point provides high quality, practical education, facilitation, and consulting support to BC’s nonprofit sector as well as programs that support sector success through convening, facilitation, and advocacy. Vantage Point's work spans throughout the province across the lands of over 200 distinct Indigenous communities.
Vantage Point plays an important role in lifting and amplifying the strengths of this dynamic, resilient, and innovative sector. By identifying the sector’s strengths and challenges through research, and engaging in collaborations and government relations, Vantage Point has emerged as a relevant voice for the sector in recent years. Vantage Point provides training and capacity-building support in areas of governance, leadership, human resources, strategic planning, and other key topics that support non-profits to achieve greater impact.
Tiny Foundation is proud to support in convening the BC NonProfit Network—a broad, sectoral coalition that includes umbrella organizations, registered charities and societies, nonprofit cooperatives, social enterprises, industry organizations, and other entities dedicated to advancing public benefit in BC. Over its first two years, the BC NonProfit Network is committed to serving as a voice to government on behalf of the nonprofit sector, fostering connections among nonprofit organizations, conducting sector-wide research and data collection, elevating the profile of the nonprofit sector, and advocating for its interests.
